The government has also decided to include disability insurance in the new Private Health Insurance Scheme (PHIS).
The article states that private health insurer (PHI) is allowed to cover the disability insurance through the PHIS.
The PHIS has been introduced under the Affordable Health Insurance (AHIS) scheme for the first time in the State of Kerala.
Private health insurance is an insurance which pays out in advance and provides a means for a person to meet his/her medical needs and expenses through private health services.
According to the National Disability Insurance Scheme, it covers disability insurance benefits which include hospital treatment and disability insurance premiums.
The article also states that under PHIS, private health Insurance providers will be allowed to offer coverage for all services provided by the government to people with disability, which will include the following services: medical care, mental health, prescription medication, prescriptions, prescriptions and medical tests.
The PHIS will also provide a means of payment to people who do not have a disability to meet their medical needs.
The insurance scheme will cover the cost of private health care and medical services provided to the disabled.
